Bratwurst City Frisbee Club started in Sheboygan after the 1st annual Wisconsin Frisbee Championships held in conjunction with the "1976 Great Frisbee Flip Out" at Kiwanis Park. The event was organized by Kevin Hogan featured 1776 red, white and blue fastbacks thrown off of the hill by 200 players to 2000 spectators waiting for a take home prize. The event also included competitions for Distance, Accuracy and Maximum Time Aloft. The club held it's 1st informal meeting of 15 interested disc enthusiasts in May 1977 at Kiwanis Park organized by Bruce Wilk.
