Terre served as a founding board member of the Wisconsin Disc Sports Association until 2003 and co-directed the first 11 Mad City open tournaments as well as numerous Badger State Games and Worlds Biggest events.  Terre was the first in the Midwest to publish tournament pre-registration lists online. Her dedication, planning and organization benefitting both players and volunteers has set the standard for Wisconsin disc sports events. Terre is also a member of the Wisconsin Disc Golf Hall of Fame.


TERRE'S BIO:

1993 – 2001 Co-Tournament Director of Mad City Open, with last 2 years as Super Tour event 

Recruited, trained volunteers to work events

Event advertising & flyer creation, publication

Maintained registration database

Responsible for hotel facilities, park rentals, payout & onsite registrations

Tournament report forms completion

Budgeting, accounting and bookkeeping of tournament funds

Head Scorekeeper and certified official

1st in Midwest to do online registration and use Paypal for online payment of player registration

1994 to 2001 – Co-Commissioner of Disc Golf for Badger State Games

Submitted application & was accepted for 1994 summer games

Successfully promoted BSG to Wisconsin DG community

In 1999, suggested the addition of Ultimate, to the BSG Director of Operations, which she followed through on with local Ultimate groups

1994 PDGA Volunteer of the Year  - Co-recipient

1995 created ‘Madison Area Disc Services’ merchandising business to make tournaments financially sound

Purchased & sold disc golf related merchandise at wholesale/retail level

1997 Inducted into the Wisconsin Disc Golf Hall of Fame

1998 Co-Tournament Director of PDGA Amateur World Championships

Created Wisconsin non-profit organization in 1997 specific to this tournament

Directed financial management, including bookkeeping, accounting & budget

Event Manager – advertising, volunteer recruitment, facilities rentals

Responsible for players packages & merchandise payout

1999 PDGA Tournament Director of the Year – Co-recipient

1999 to 2001 – Board Member of Wisconsin Disc Sports Association

Created the current nonprofit structure of WDSA, with volunteer board members from 1998 AM Worlds for the purpose of creating a Wisconsin DG governing body, using the non-profit organization from 1998 Am Worlds

Served as Treasurer of WDSA for 3 years

1999 to 2002:  Board Member of the Madison Area Disc Club

Over a 20 year period, worked many tournaments in Wisconsin and across the country.
